The February meeting was on the subject “Spring Tubs and Hanging Baskets” with Ian and Sheila Lowe. There was a discussion on the use of peat and other planting mediums. Ian demonstrated how to plant troughs and hanging baskets effectively but more economically by using evergreen with flowering plants. He also explained about feeding and watering to keep plants in the best condition for as long as possible.
We had a good attendance and I think all the members had a good night. Ian gave a humorous and very interesting talk with added comments from his wife Sheila.
